David Donica was born in Edinet, Moldova. He was introduced to piano and violin at a young age and so began his musical journey. Violin quickly became “his” instrument – the flow, the movement, the sound…, clearly visible in his performances today, as the sound reverberates not only from his bow, but, seemingly, from his pores, as he plays. He was able to “tune” his technique touring around Moldova and nearby countries as a child, before moving to the United States at age 16. His parents, who strongly supported their five children’s musical talents, wanted every opportunity for their children to get a musical education in the States. David immediately joined the several symphony orchestras and threw himself into realizing his and his parents’ dreams for himself. His formative years were spent diligently learning, playing, teaching, composing, and performing at venues around the country, world-class music festivals, distinguished symposiums, with his talented family at churches across the country. David has had the honor to be a part of the orchestras accompanying notable artists such as Joshua Bell, Itzhak Perlman and others.  David’s passion for music has inspired him to work with children, teaching them to play different instruments, and to lead his own orchestras, all the while earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. David does not only see himself as a classical trend musician, but adapts his technique towards other musical styles, such as Jazz, Rock, Hip-Hop, and Gospel, which can be seen in his improvisational performances. Ultimately, David is grateful for the grace of God, which has led him through a whirlwind of opportunities across the world and to marry the love of his life – Victoria. Together they continue the hard work of instructing, performing, and sharing their music passion with the world.
